Frequently asked questions

WHO IS THIS CAMP FOR?

Any Home Educating, Road schooling, Travelling & Distance Educating family who are visiting our wonderful region.
Also Families who are super interested in Home Schooling and would like to meet those living the experience.

Kids have more fun when allowed time together to participate in shared experiences especially in an immersive environment.
It also allows time for parents and guardians to relax and not feel the need to entertain their child/ren all day.

You will meet amazing families and the kids gain confidence by connecting with other children with similar interests in a neutral territory.

What if my child or myself is socially anxious?

The joy of staying at a caravan park with all of your own equipment, or in a cabin means you can interact with others on your own terms. It means you have your own space when needed.

The kids or yourself can participate in as much as you want or not. Sometimes it is just enough to hangout over a quick cup of tea at the camp kitchen, or join a walking group into town, or host a workshop if that's your jam!

We will be hosting meet and greet sessions that kids will have an opportunity to join in.
From a rowdy game of cards, to a more quiet session of mindfulness art or a mountain biking trip.
You will get out of this trip what you can put in and there will be no judgement.

How much does it cost?

Depends on the accommodation you book. The caravan park will take your booking directly from you, there are cabins, Van sites, powered tent sites and un-powered tent sites.
You will receive a 10% discount on booking when you state you are part of the Home School Camp.
A deposit is required, and the park is happy to invoice you.

Back in 2006, some neighbourhood boys asked Tim to make some wooden Lord of the Rings swords, and hence, the toy craftsman was born!
